Bayt al-Hikma and the Hajj Authority: Prospects for Scientific Cooperation
As part of efforts to expand cooperation between Bayt al-Hikma and various scientific, academic, and service institutions in Iraq, Mr. Mudhafar Al-Rubaie, Director of Public Relations and Media, paid an official visit to the Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah. The visit was made upon the directive of Dr. Qahtan Neama Hassan Al-Khafaji, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, carrying an invitation to His Excellency Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi, Head of the Commission, to visit Bayt al-Hikma and learn about the diverse scientific and cultural activities offered by this distinguished institution, as well as to explore its historic building, library, and various halls.
Mr. Al-Rubaie was received by Dr. Jamal Al-Din Al-Badri, Deputy Head of the Commission for Religious and Cultural Affairs; Mr. Mahmoud Moayyed Jameel, Director General of Media and Public Relations; Mr. Haider Abd Rasan, Director General of Planning and Follow-up; and Mr. Ahmed Khalaf, Director of Media at the Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Rubaie gave a detailed overview of the roles and responsibilities of Bayt al-Hikma, highlighting its main scientific departments and significant academic and research achievements. He also discussed the nature of the institution’s collaborations with universities and research centers, both inside and outside Iraq, as well as its participation in international book fairs, conferences, and academic symposia.
For his part, the Deputy Head of the Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah expressed his appreciation for this visit, describing it as the beginning of fruitful cooperation between the two institutions. He emphasized the importance of exchanging ideas and expertise, and working together on joint studies and research projects. He also conveyed his intention, along with the Head of the Commission, to accept the invitation to visit Bayt al-Hikma. |
