Bayt al-Hikma Strengthens Cooperation Mechanisms with the Iraqi Council of Representatives
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, Dr. Qahtan Ne’ma Hassan Al-Khafaji, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bayt al-Hikma, received in his office Mr. Haider Al-Mandlawi, Advisor to the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives. The meeting focused on enhancing scientific and academic cooperation between the legislative authority and academic institutions, research centers, and think tanks — foremost among them Bayt al-Hikma. This collaboration aims to support evidence-based decision-making processes within state institutions through the research and studies these centers provide.
Dr. Al-Khafaji expressed his warm welcome to the visiting delegation and conveyed his appreciation to the Iraqi Council of Representatives — the country’s supreme legislative body — for its continued cooperation with Bayt al-Hikma and its commitment to supporting joint efforts in the future.
For his part, Mr. Al-Mandlawi presented the Shield of Creativity and Excellence to Bayt al-Hikma,represented by Dr. Al-Khafaji in recognition of the institution’s distinguished scientific contributions and longstanding academic efforts.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Haider Qasim Matar Al-Tamimi, Secretary-General of Bayt al-Hikma, and Dr. Muhannad Abdul Hassan, Member of the Board of Trustees.
