The Department of Historical Studies at Bayt Al-Hikma (House of Wisdom) held the Fourth Annual Ceremony for the Scientific Achievements of History Professors today, Thursday, December 23, 2025. The event took place at Al-Khawarizmi Hall at Bayt Al-Hikma, with the attendance of the Head of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Qahtan Ni'ma Hassan Al-Khafaji.
The Department of Historical Studies seeks through this celebration to honor an elite of senior history professors in recognition of their academic career and their outstanding scientific contributions in the service of historical research, present them with the Bayt Al-Hikma Shield of Excellence and Creativity. This honor is considered an invitation to continue their efforts and contributions, and an appreciation of the solid academic research they have produced.
Event Highlights
The celebration included a dialogue session chaired by Prof. Dr. Ismail Taha Al-Jabri, Head of the Advisory Team for the Department of Historical Studies, and moderated by Prof. Tamara Karim Salih from the College of Education for Women - University of Baghdad. A group of researchers participated, presenting papers that addressed the historical achievements of the honored professors, along with a display of their scientific and historical output and a reading of their academic biographies.
