*Ceremony for the Scientific Achievements of History Professors*
The Department of Historical Studies at Bayt Al-Hikma (House of Wisdom) held the Fourth Annual Ceremony for the Scientific Achievements of History Professors today, Thursday, December 23, 2025. The event took place at Al-Khawarizmi Hall at Bayt Al-Hikma, with the attendance of the Head of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Qahtan Ni'ma Hassan Al-Khafaji.
The Department of Historical Studies seeks through this celebration to honor an elite of senior history professors in recognition of their academic career and their outstanding scientific contributions in the service of historical research, present them with the Bayt Al-Hikma Shield of Excellence and Creativity. This honor is considered an invitation to continue their efforts and contributions, and an appreciation of the solid academic research they have produced.
Event Highlights
The celebration included a dialogue session chaired by Prof. Dr. Ismail Taha Al-Jabri, Head of the Advisory Team for the Department of Historical Studies, and moderated by Prof. Tamara Karim Salih from the College of Education for Women - University of Baghdad. A group of researchers participated, presenting papers that addressed the historical achievements of the honored professors, along with a display of their scientific and historical output and a reading of their academic biographies.
Closing Remarks and Call to Action
For his part, the Head of the Bayt Al-Hikma Board of Trustees expressed in his closing speech his great pride in these symbols of thought and knowledge, and his high appreciation for their intellectual contribution and cognitive output. He praised the role of the scientific departments at Bayt Al-Hikma in presenting luminous models in the march of education and research in Iraq, asserting that this honoring is an investment in the bright and pioneering minds that achieve comprehensive development in solid academic research. He also called upon historians to highlight the historical achievements of Bayt Al-Hikma in their writings and research, considering it a civilizational legacy that must be preserved and maintained.
The celebration was attended by a group of researchers, academics, intellectuals, and interested individuals, as well as a number of researchers from the scientific departments at Bayt Al-Hikma.
