Bayt Al-Hikma( House of Wisdom ) Organizes Workshop to Enhance Confidence Among Community Members
As part of Bayt Al-Hikma's efforts aimed at developing awareness and building a positive character, the Department of Islamic Studies and the Department of Social Studies, in cooperation with "Mashura" Center for Studies and Development, organized a workshop titled "Enhancing Confidence Among Community Members."
The workshop took place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Al-Maraya Hall, with the participation of a number of specialists, including professors and researchers in psychology, media, and education, as well as representatives from state institutions such as ministries and independent bodies. The event was attended by Dr. Ra'ed Ukla Al-Zaidi, member of the Board of Trustees, and a group of young people and others interested in the issue .
The workshop aims to promote the values of self-confidence, belonging, and social responsibility as a foundation for building a strong generation that believes in its capabilities. This will positively impact productivity, creativity, and national belonging, through methods and practices that help achieve this on the psychological, media, social, educational, and personal levels.
The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Zahra Al-Tamimi, member of the Board of Trustees at Bayt Al-Hikma and Director of "Mashura" Center for Studies and Development, and rapportuerd by Dr. Sajida Muhammad Ali from the Department of Islamic Studies at Bayt Al-Hikma.
The workshop employed a brainstorming mechanism by posing a set of questions that highlight the individuals' need to prove themselves and their abilities to contribute to building a society that preserves their dignity and identity and nurtures their creativity and . The session was opened for a series of interventions presented by the participants, which addressed the most prominent methods for developing self-confidence, spreading positive stories, adopting positive thinking, and embracing stimulating media that raises the level of awareness and creativity and reinforces a comprehensive national belonging and identity that supersedes sub-identities.
The participants presented a set of proposals and recommendations aimed at enhancing programs that build the human being in their early stages through educational and instructional institutions, stressing the necessity of focusing on reviving national and religious occasions and solidifying the concept of national unity away from regional, ethnic, or sectarian divisions.
