Imam Al-Sadiq University Visits Bayt al-Hikma
As part of efforts to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation among Iraqi educational institutions, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Qahtan Neama Hasan Al-Khafaji, received a delegation of faculty members and students from Imam Al-Sadiq University – College of Education on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at his office in Bayt al-Hikma.
The delegation included Dr. Haider Khalaf Salman Al-Waeli, Rapporteur of the Department of Quranic Sciences; Dr. Azhar Abdul Hassan, Head of Women’s Affairs; Dr. Zahraa Alawi, Head of Student Activities; and Dr. Milad Izzat.
The meeting featured an engaging academic discussion, during which Dr. Al-Khafaji welcomed the visiting delegation and emphasized the importance of fostering stronger ties between universities and research centers, considering such cooperation essential for building awareness and promoting intellectual advancement. He also highlighted the role of Bayt al-Hikma in supporting scientific and intellectual initiatives, as well as publishing studies addressing societal issues and future development in Iraq.
For their part, the faculty members of Imam Al-Sadiq University expressed their gratitude to Bayt al-Hikma for this opportunity, affirming their desire to expand avenues of collaboration through joint seminars, research and training programs, and academic exchange between both institutions. The students also raised several questions regarding research mechanisms and the role of intellectual institutions in supporting decision-makers.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees praised this academic initiative and reaffirmed Bayt al-Hikma’s readiness to provide scholarly and intellectual support to universities in ways that contribute to the advancement of intellectual and cultural activity in the country.
The visit also included an introductory tour of Bayt al-Hikma’s departments, where the delegation learned about its scientific divisions, recent publications, and ongoing research projects.
