Bayt al-Hikma Receives Guests from Al-Uruk University Conference
On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bayt al-Hikma, Dr. Qahtan Neama Hassan Al-Khafaji, received a delegation from Al-Uruk University that included a group of researchers and academics from the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The visit coincided with their participation in the conference titled “The Law Keeping Pace with Scientific and Technological Development – Artificial Intelligence,” recently organized by Al-Uruk University.
Dr. Al-Khafaji welcomed the visiting delegation, commending the university’s efforts in arranging field visits to Bayt al-Hikma. He emphasized the importance of such visits in promoting cultural awareness, enhancing understanding of the historical role of scholars in spreading knowledge globally, and strengthening academic and cultural exchange between research and educational institutions. He also presented an overview of Bayt al-Hikma’s work, highlighting its openness to collaboration with universities and research centers—both local and international—through its specialized departments, conferences, and workshops.
For his part, the head of the delegation, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein, Dean of the College of Law, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and praised Bayt al-Hikma’s historical significance and its role as a bridge connecting academic communities across various fields and research institutions.
At the end of the visit, the delegation was given a guided tour of the institution to learn about its library, book and periodical collections, as well as the range of services it offers to researchers and students.
