Bayt Al-Hikma (House of Wisdom)Participates in the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation among Think Tanks
In one of the distinguished scientific and international activities where Bayt Al-Hikma institution had an effective participation, the Secretary-General of Bayt Al-Hikma, Prof.Dr. Haider Qasim Matar Al-Tamimi, participated in the "Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation among Think Tanks." The forum was organized by Xinhua News Agency in collaboration with the administration of Jiangsu Province (People's Republic of China), and was held from November 21-23, 2025, in the People's Republic of China.
The forum was held under the title: "High-Quality Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) for an Open Global Economy," in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, China. Senior Chinese officials, experts from international research centers, and international press correspondents participated in the forum, discussing the practical paths of the "Belt and Road" Initiative in multiple fields, such as: exchange and mutual learning among civilizations within the framework of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative , the digital silk road and digital economy governance in BRI partner countries ,joint construction of the BRI and international cooperation in production capacity ,smart city development under the Belt and Road Initiative ,building cross-border e-commerce centers and logistics services under the Belt and Road Initiative.
These and other topics all serve the social and economic reality of the group of nations subject to this unique economic initiative.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Secretary-General also participated in the third session of the Yangtze Cultural Forum for the year 2025, organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the People's Government of Nanjing City. This major cultural event was held under the title : "Flowing Rivers, Converging Future."
It focused on cultural exchange and preserving the civilizations of great rivers. The theme of the forum, titled "Building Bridges Between Rivers and Seas, Exchanging the Wisdom of Civilizations," highlighted the dialogue and exchange between the civilizations of the world's major rivers. It is concerned with enhancing dialogue between the cultures and civilizations of the world's major rivers, with the participation of experts from both within and outside China.
This forum hosted prominent guests, including leaders from Chinese central and national ministries, heads of major news agencies from around the world,
and distinguished experts in the fields of cultural heritage and archaeology.
Academics and researchers participated from the United Kingdom, Brazil, Egypt, Pakistan, Iraq, Romania, Italy, Cuba, France, and many other countries, all specializing in the study of the civilizations of the Nile River, the Tigris and Euphrates, the Amazon, and the Indus River.
